Mary Said Yes

What is so special about the Blessed Virgin Mary? Of course She is, and always will be, the Mother of Jesus, and of us all...The question posed here may, therefore, be formulated in a different manner, i.e: ''WHO makes Her so remarkable?''.
Still there is one feature of Our Lady that enabled Her to became all She is now– Theotokos and Mediatrix of all Graces. The Woman that – from the moment of the Annunciation – may be emulated by all the mothers, pro-lifers, physicians …

Today some women may feel uncertain about the future of their children, some other may even be scared...
They all seem to forget that not them, but God alone will take care of each and every life-to-come.
Mary had known this from Her childhood and she simply confirmed it with Her "yes" at the time of the Annunciation.

I think that God granted Her with the special Mission because She was, and still is, the humblest Woman one can imagine. By emptying Her heart from egoism and fear She made it open to the LOVE alone...
The One that is stronger than any kind of uncertainty.

To be the man

Both St Patrick and St Joseph can be presented to the modern men as raw models of masculinity:
They were strong, they persevered and trusted regardless of hard external circumstances experienced by them.

Yet there is more to be said about above-mentioned Saints; both of them have a feature that pushes
man's masculinity to the highest level: They knew that the real man does - with the help of God - what he is supposed to do, and not necessarily what he would like to do...

It can be said that such a man lives for God and people entrusted to him by the Creator, being constantly driven by love, not by his own ego.

The Genuflections

Sometimes wheelchairs users may feel uncomfortable. Pavements, thresholds and closed hearts are among many barriers that they have to encounter and overcome. Still there is at least one situation of advantage, the greatest honour that just-mentioned, "disabled" people are exclusively blessed with.
Handicapped Catholics, men and women alike, are able to genuflect before the Eucharist, and they do it even if it is not explicitly required of them; during the Holy Mass, adoration,or ordinary prayer - because of their "lowered positions" - they are bowing down before the Lord virtually all the time. As the result, and I am almost sure of it, He may grant them with His constant, consoling and holy presence, just as He did for His Mother - the first believer courageous enough to praise God even at the foot of the Cross.

He can be even closer

Throughout the ages some theologians have tried to describe God in a positive manner, telling us who He may be. The others - on the other hand - have been focused on showing us 'negative pictures' of the Creator.Whatever can or cannot be said about Our Lord, one thing about Him can be proven with certainty:God is a loving Person, and you are able to get know Him even right now - just partake in the Eucharist, pray for the good disposition of your heart, and be filled with the fullness of God's Love for you, your family and the whole world.

I'm dreaming about Heaven

If God is omnipotent why can't we always get what we want?

In my opinion it might be so if what we want is not what we really need...
Men blessed(or rather cursed) with everything may finally treat Our Lord and His promises as nothing and act as God himself.

God is not a dream-fulfilling machine and we are not gods...He loves us all and knows that in heaven we will be grateful for each and every ''dream'' that He – in His great Mercy – protects us from...

so we don't end up in hell,
the place reserved for egoists.

A PRAYER TO OUR LADY FOR HEALING (ENG-PL)

A PRAYER TO OUR LADY FOR HEALING

Mary Immaculate, you have given yourself to us as our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You have asked us to pray with confidence, and we will receive great graces. We know your compassion, because you saw your Son suffer and die for us. In your union with his suffering you became the mother of us all.

Mary, my mother, teach me to understand my suffering as you do and to endure it in union with the suffering of Jesus. In your motherly love, calm my fears and increase my trust in God's loving care.

According to God's plan, obtain for me the healing I need. Intercede with your Son that I may have the strength I need to work for God's glory and the salvation of the world.

Amen.

Mary, health of the sick, pray for me.

MODLITWA DO MARYI Z PROŚBĄ O UZDROWIENIE

W swojej matczynej dobroci uspokój proszę wichry moich lęków i Zwiększ me zaufanie do opiekuńczej Miłości Bożej.

Wyjednaj mi też – w zgodzie z Bożym Planem - uzdrowienie, którego Teraz potrzebuję.
Syna zaś swego proś, by dał mi siłę
Której tak potrzeba, bym działał dla Bożej Chwały i zbawienia świata.

Amen.

Maryjo, Uzdrowienie Chorych, módl się za mnie.

Living with...Jesus

Living with a disability - whatever this could mean for you - may be a hard task, yet it is never meaningless. In fact, it may be your blessing...if only your cross is taken up with Christ-like acceptance. If you are His true follower
then, on your difficult path, you will find the flowers of grace; you can even meet a Son of God himself: The One who has never thrown His Cross away... let Him go with you,
look at Him and realize that He can transform everything just as He once did from His Cross... by the great power of His Love, every act of your obedience, acceptance, or even dependency - may become a precious gift for your and your family, namely: your key to heaven.

Oddać Mu serce - On nie chce więcej(PL)

Zagrała we mnie ostatnio piękna pieśń Jacka Kaczmarskiego pt. "O krok". Wydaje mi się, że jej przesłanie może być aktualne szczególnie teraz - w Wielkim Poście...Jakże często - o krok od zaufania Bogu - zatrzymujemy się;

On tylko o to nas prosi - nawet jeśli istnieją łatwiejsze postanowienia i wyrzeczenia wielkopostne.

Jest to, mimo wszystko, możliwe i potrzebne - Jezus pierwszy potwierdził, że tylko ten, kto złoży całą nadzieję w Bogu, może cieszyć się radością Niedzieli Wielkanocnej.

The Quality of Love

A quality of human life, the term so important for both pro-lifers and enemies of human life, can be associated with many different words: "happiness", "lack of pain", "independence" ... They are all important, yet not sufficient for a patient who wants to lead not good, but rather the best life...
The whole issue is well interpreted by Christians and all other charitable people who know that a medical doctor can't speak about so-called quality of human live without making a prior strong and clear reference to THE QUALITY OF HUMAN LOVE.
