This can be your mission too (just turn your TV on)

My life is an instant,
An hour which passes by;
My life is a moment
Which I have no power to stay.
You know, O my God,
That to love You here on earth -
I have only today.

—St. Therese of Lisieux

St. Therese's mission of saving as many souls as she possibly could for Christ began when She realised how much of His precious Blood had been outpoured, and how much He had thirsting for our goodness. She was so moved for almost nobody seemed to care about this situation.

Is His situation better today?

Today you don't have to be a mystic in order to see Jesus in need-
all it takes is to turn your TV set on and watch coverages from Haiti, Somalia, Pakistan etc.

Whatever you did for "the little ones" of these countries, you did to Him.

Pray that you may do what is right.

Mary, Mother of the Eucharist

Holy Virgin Mary was granted with many titles. Some of them are much more impressive than others; yet the title of Mother of the Eucharist seems to reflect Her Mission and Role for the Church  in a perfect manner.

She, a humble human being, was elevated by and thru Christ,
and She protected Him in Her Heart regardless of circumstances.

That's why She can be set as a model for all of us, Catholics:
the model that remind us that the real trust is always rewarded

Pray that we may bring Life( by acting as missionaries of the Eucharistic Christ) to this word like Mary did.

Who is like God ( on some good place to start from)?

I find Him everywhere while doing the wash as well as while praying

 Bl. Elisabeth of Trinity

During our lifetime, we often are tempted to say: ''why am I here, why God did this to me? I would be happier as''...
The point is that God knows better where we should be.

Although we all are human beings ''naturally equipped'' with plans, desires and hopes,  He has HIS plan for us. That plan is heaven( and not necessary... Whatever you want to put here) .

Are we ready to seek heaven (from) where He want us to, in order to find Him (and not ourselves)?

If not, then we may at the end get to some other place. The one prepared for egoists and self-seekers(look at the proudest of angels- Lucipher), filled with their teardrops.

Are you ready for such world?

Some major conference concering life issues took place at Princeton University last week (look at: http://www.c-fam.org/publications/id.1722/pub_detail.asp).

One of its participants, professor Singer, stated that:

“An infant has no moral status because he is not self-aware”.

Let's think over his statement for a while. Although I'm neither an ethicist nor a biologist, it is obvious to me that so-called self-awareness may be observed (to a some degree) among some species of animals (for further reading please visit:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capuchin_monkey).
Moreover above-mentioned self-awareness has absolutely nothing to do with moral issues.

Argumentation that professor Singer gave, may lead us to some terrible world of future  in which - as I see it:

1) A mature animal would be granted with greater scope of rights, when compared to some young or disabled human being;

2) Morality would be assessed by some psychological tests and tools, and not in the reference to the human heart.

Are we ready for such world, the one full of wise words... And absurdity?

Stand up and fight again

Have you been crushed by your sin recently? If so, do not give up your fight for Heaven.Although you may feel unworthy,
confess your sins with a confidence and let your guardian angel to remind you often of two famous statments that Theresa of Avilla made a few centuries ago:

  • I alone am nothing, yet with Jesus I can be everything(He wants me to be).
and
  • It is love alone that gives worth to all things

These words of before-mentioned Spanish saint tell us so much about our Saviour and His Mercy.

The greatest joy and mystery is that we all are destined to be in Heaven. And we hopefully will get  there not only for our merits, but for our love-giver, Jesus the Christ.

On some uncontaminated sources ( What the philosophy is about)

It can by said that so-called modern philosophy that fascinates so many people has nothing to do with the real philosophy.
Just take a look at the names of some well known philosophical branches of  20th century :

-Deconstructivism
-Absurdism
-Nihilism
(...)

The real philosophy shall lead a thinker to the Wisdom, in other words to the Unity of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.  Now, do you know Whose above-mentioned atributes are?

Yes, a philosopher shall be at least open to God's existence, and Neither Derrida nor Camus and Nietzsche were.

So if you want to be the Philosopher someday,  you would better start with good and reliable names on your ''must read'' list:

St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustin,  St. Theresa Benedicta of the Cross, Joseph Mary Bochenski or John Paul II definitely knew what  the philosophy is about.

Just do it with love ( message for busy men)

Saint Therese of Lisieux has been proclaimed 33th Doctor of the Church not for some outstatnding intelectual skills of her.

In fact, she was not a theologian, she just knew the power of Love( that is the ultimate condition for sainthood).

The One that can be practiced by virtually anyone. No matter if you are 9 year-old or 99 year-old- you still can offer all your deeds ( small or big ones alike)  with greater love.

And you alwars have so many things to do, haven't you?

St. Therese, pray for us!
