The touchstone of love

Love, sacrifice and pain –  these three dimensions of the human existence are tightly interconnected.
Pain, whatever we may think of it,  is not useless – even God himself had to suffer for our common good. It is impossible, however, to bear it without love. Mix your hardship together with devotion, in other words –  flavor it with love; if you do so, each and every of your painful experience would flourish, becoming sacrificial, showing the loved ones that your love is genuine at the same time. Jesus knows it, that's why he did not end his Mission on the Holy Cross but rather began it from there, instructing us all that the real love shall serve God and His creatures without any excuses or restrictions, namely  ''In season and out of season''.

PS. Please pray that, if this is God's Will, I may meet, get know and marry the woman (not a girl) who is not afraid of a cross...

Offer everything up to God

Saint Paul and Saint Augustine: two great men who have something in common. Both of them remind us of the need for constant prayer. But how to achieve such goal ? Can we lift our hearts to God in a continuous manner? It is possible indeed. Even if saying the vocal prayer is your hard-to-do task for any reson, you can still offer God something else as a form of prayer (f.e. your job, joy, smile...). In fact any gift of pure heart will be welcomed by Him.
You can try some short prayers as well. Just say "Jesus I trust in you” or "The Immaculate Heart of Mary I put my trust in you”.

Is it enough to believe?

"I believe in God and that's enough to have good and happy life. I do not need any organized form of religion". We often hear phases like these.

Yet, if we think for a while, a conclusion will come. The conclusion that - although faith alone can improve our lives - we need much more for our salvation.

Look: Devil is also the believer, isn't he?

The real Catholic reinforces his or her faith with good deeds.
For the faith without its sacrificial side is only a word.
