Who Lent is Really for?

Lent, whether one like it or not, is a penitential period; the main point, though, is ''what, or rather Who, it is for''.

Yes, in my opinion Lenten time is not so much for mere penance, being rather the time for Jesus.

It is so for each and every of our penitential act gives us all a great opportunity to provide Christ with more place in our hearts.

He enters them many times, for he's entered Jerusalem before, but is willing to stay inside only when people are happy with His presence even after Palm Sunday.... longing for the one more than for what the world may offer.

Fear, Love and His Will

How to replace fear with love during the Sacrament of Penance? In my opinion - being well aware of our sinfulness - we all shall remember that Jesus died not only because of each and every transgression of human beings (yes, He really did this), but - first and foremost - for their souls & bodies*.

*Filled with love and gratitude that will come as the consequence of just-mentioned truth, be merciful to yourself; perhaps someday you will be chosen as a tool/proof of Jesus' Mercy.

The real places, the real words

Fatima apparitions - for some these are hoaxes, for many the true miracles.
Whatever you think of above-mentioned apparitions you ought to examine their fruits:
by pointing that hell is as real as heaven sister Lucia Santos has given us the new insight on the human freedom.
The one can be condensed in the phrase that needs to be placed above each and every door to the places of sin around the world:


"Not what we may do or what makes us happy, but  rather what we are supposed to do, sets us free".


Souls in hell may confirm this truth, and so can angel of God, who has uttered  at Cova da Iria-Fatima, the following, famous words of warning, correction, and hope:


PENANCE, PENANCE, PENANCE!
